Lasantha Wijeweera comes from a very strong Operations Management background, developed in world class organizations such as Brandix and Trelleborg. His multidisciplinary background in Business Management, Management Accounting and Law helps him to develop a holistic view of an operation, whilst understanding its intricacies, in order to deliver robust and sustainable business solutions to organizations.
Mr Wijeweera has managed complex and mission critical supply chain operations in the apparel industry. As a result, he is well rounded in the front end management processes and has proven capabilities of redesigning supply chain processes to deliver superior business performance.
Lasantha is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black belt who has successfully carried out many Lean/ Six Sigma projects, in manufacturing as well as transaction processing environments, yielding significant bottom-line results. Further, as a Master Black Belt, he has trained other Six Sigma practitioners whilst simultaneously facilitating the successful completion of multiple projects.
Mr Wijeweera has extensive experience in managing Enterprise Resource Planning systems implementation projects. He has supported several multi-million dollar systems implementation projects, as a functional consultant, project manager and head of implementations. In these roles he has been involved in several shop floor automation projects using modern state of the art technologies. Besides the technical competencies related to these projects, Lasantha has vast experience in handling related softer issues such as change management and communication etc.
In his spare time, Lasantha lectures at two MBA programs on Operations Management and Lean / Six Sigma, and conducts training through workshops and seminars targeted at audiences open to the public as well as bespoke programmes for company staff. In his role as a corporate trainer and a consultant, he carries over ten years of experience.
