Indika Liyanahewage has a strong professional and an academic background and possesses a wealth of experience and knowledge in many areas of Business and Human behaviour. Heading the Human Resources function of a Multimillion dollar Organisation; his responsibilities include managing a work force close to 2000. With a unique combination of Business and Human management skills, Mr. Liyanahewage is a master of handling Emotions and changing Behaviors.
Indika obtained his MBA degree from PIM (Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura – Sri Lanka). He is an Associate member of CIMA and his first degree (B.Sc. Mgt.Sp.) was also obtained from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura – Sri Lanka. He was trained on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) at Tad James Co. Australia and was qualified as a Certified Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Certified NLP Coach, Time Line Therapy® Practitioner and a Hypnotist.
Mr. Liyanahewage was a pioneer member of the MAS Holdings’ international expansion team to Vietnam. This was a very rare overseas exposure, since it involved establishing a garment manufacturing business from inception, meeting stringent quality standards, being a supplier to international brands of high repute, such as GAP, Nike, Victoria’s Secrets, Reebok, etc.
Indika’s human behavior maneuvering skills emerged during this overseas venture, during which he had to manage a team of people who did not properly understand the English language. These experiences led Indika to explore Human behavior to a greater depth. As a result, he mastered NLP through learning from the world renowned NLP trainer and creator of Time Line Therapy® Dr. Tad James in Sydney, Australia.
Indika’s specialty is that he designs his tailor made programs in order to fulfil the exact need of the Employer, ranging from the level of ‘Reaction’ to ‘Results’. Therefore the Employer will always get a heads up as to what can be expected from the participants, after the training. Mr. Liyanahewage is also a reputed lecturer for CIMA, conducting lectures both locally and internationally. He has won several awards for obtaining the best pass rates for the subjects he teaches. He is also highly sought after by many other reputed higher education academies for his contribution to course curriculum development and exam paper setting.
