Damitha is an experienced, professionally qualified Banker with over 15 years of experience in both local & international markets. He currently serves as a member of the Senior Management team of the one of the main private banks in Sri Lanka managing the International operations and Alternative Channels of the Bank. He represented for many international workshops and conferences and travelled to many countries such as Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Cyprus, France, Canada, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia and India in business setting up/ operations and expansion activities.
He was one of the founder members of the Junior Chamber International's Bambalapitiya chapter and served as an Adviser to the director board till year 2010. He has conducted many training programs on Leadership, Management, Marketing, Business Operations, International Business, Strategy, etc. Damitha was also part of the lecture panel at LBS (London Business School) in Colombo and acted as a lecture for Diploma in Banking & Finance module.
Apart from this, he represented Sri Lanka for many international Hockey Tournaments and captained Mercantile Hockey Team in SL for the National Games held in year 2005. He won College colors for 2 sports namely Hockey & Volley Ball.
With his vast experience in formulating strategies for International and Local business and with his exposure to the operations, negotiations, management & leadership skills, business partnerships/ alliances etc, he will add more value to each training program thus helping to achieve expected results for the respective organizations.
